Bid to Bill Design and Systems Integration

In the 1990s, as states and regions within the United States established wholesale competition for electricity, utilities and their federal/state regulators began forming independent, unbiased transmission operators to ensure equal access to the power grid for new, non-utility competitors. Today, the 10 Independent System Operators and Regional Transmission Organizations (ISO/RTOs) in North America serve two-thirds of electricity consumers in the United States and more than 50 percent of Canada's population.

Bridge has participated in new market design and systems integration programs across North America and Canada. Bridge will deliver subject matter experts in Power Markets, Grid Reliability, and System Integration technologies to provide full-life cycle, bid-to-bill solutions involving:

• Translation of market design specifications to business and system requirements for software development; ongoing requirement management, impact analysis and change control support

• Business Process definition and re-engineering, uses cases, business rules and functional specifications
• Legacy system functional and integration analysis
• New Market data modeling and definition
• Systems integration design specifications (logical data mapping to an industry standard model (e.g. CIM) and physical mapping to system staging and transaction tables)

Systems Integration

• Systems integration strategy and planning
• Systems integration test; integration test plans and scripts; traceability to business and system requirements; bid-to-bill integrated data sets; test execution (technology through business process testing)
